Rust was not a factor for QB Drew Brees in his return to the Saints lineup. He had not played in a game since week 2, but lit up the Arizona Cardinals in a 31-9 week 8 beat down in the Dome. After completing 34 of 43 passes (79.1 percent) for 373 yards, 3 touchdowns and a 116.4 passer rating, Brees has been nominated for this week’s FedEx Air Player of the Week.

Brees is up against Detroit’s Matthew Stafford and Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers.
