Drew Brees announced on Feb.18th that he would in fact be retuning for a 20th NFL and the free agent made it clear that he will play for the Saints, or nobody. That made the Who Dat Nation smile and NFL Network’s Ian Rappoprt has more new to make fans giddy. He says Brees could take a deal worth roughly $25 million per year, staying at the same number he was last season which is well below market value.
From NFL Now: #Saints QB Drew Brees made it clear he's not leaving New Orleans, and it sounds like he won't demand top dollar this time, either. The approach may help his team sign an additional free agent. pic.twitter.com/35TwJpZoMJ

The 41-year old’s main goal is honed in on hoisting a 2nd Lombardi Trophy. Giving the Saint extra money to use on other players in free agency could certainly help achieve a trip to Super Bowl LV in Tamp Bay on Feb. 7th 2021.
