For the second consecutive offseason the New Orleans Saints sent a contingent to France, but this time for a much more specific purpose.
The Saints will be one of the teams in the NFL's first Paris game, set to be played at Stade de France. The date and opponent for the game have not been officially announced. This year's journey included QB Tyler Shough and RT Taliese Fuaga, along with team owner Gayle Benson and a host of others. The group participated in events, met up with French Who Dats, toured the facilities where the game will be played and took part in a press conference Friday morning. Benson also announced the Saints would sponsor a flag football tournament in France with the winner earning a trip to New Orleans.

In advance of the NFL's first Paris game in the 2026 season, members of the New Orleans Saints shipped overseas this past week to see the sights, participate in events and hold a press conference. The contingent included Saints QB Tyler Shough, RT Taliese Fuaga and team owner Gayle Benson, among others.

The Saints also made a French excursion last offseason that included Demario Davis, who recently departed in free agency to the Jets. The team has been laying the groundwork to become France's unofficial team for some time, previously being granted international marketing rights through the NFL's Global Market Program.
New Orleans is coming off a 6-11 season and a fifth consecutive year missing the postseason, but optimism abounds after a 5-4 finish to the 2025 season that featured the emergence of Shough in the starting role. The Saints have built on that with an aggressive free agency that included big-ticket signings of RB Travis Etienne, LG David Edwards, LB Kaden Elliss and TE Noah Fant. The Saints will also have opportunity to build excitement through the NFL draft next month, in which they hold eight total picks, including the Nos. 8 and 42 overall selections.
