Former LSU football player Ray Parker is accused of animal abuse, according to a report from The Advocate.

Per the report, police allege Parker repeatedly kicked a dog whose leg was broken and later amputated. Parker was arrested this week and charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals.

Parker was indefinitely suspended from the LSU football team in September following an arrest for domestic violence.

Parker was in his second season with the Tigers after redshirting as a true freshman in 2019.

The former Ruston standout played tight end in high school and caught 22 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns during his senior season but was rated as the nation’s No. 14 offensive tackle prospect. He switched positions upon arriving at LSU in 2019.
