LSU’s offensive line was the weak spot of the 2025 Tigers team. Following the season, nine offensive linemen from LSU entered the transfer portal, several of them finding new homes on other SEC teams.
As the window was closing for players to enter the transfer portal, LSU added several offensive linemen who will have a chance to start.
Former Calvary Baptist star Devin Harper of Shreveport has the potential to be the most impactful. 247sports ranks Harper as the third-best interior offensive lineman in the transfer portal. He was once committed to LSU before signing with Ole Miss out of high school, and now, he’s reunited with head coach Lane Kiffin.
WWL Radio’s Mike Detillier says Harper projects as a right tackle or right guard. He described Harper as a power player at the point of attack and someone who has worked hard to upgrade his pass-blocking skills.
If you are looking for an offensive lineman with experience and size, that’s where Aliou Bah enters. Bah committed to LSU on Friday afternoon after starting 23 consecutive games at Maryland.
According to Pro Football Focus, Bah only allowed one sack in 15-hundred career snaps in college. He began his college career at the University of Georgia.
Detillier says Bah is versatile as he’s played every position on the o-line at Maryland except for center. Detillier says he’s a good run blocker, has improved his pass blocking, but still needs to work on hand placement skills.
Sean Thompkins is the other significant addition to the offensive line. He made five starts for Baylor, finishing the season as the Bears' starting left tackle.
Detillier describes Thompkins as a really good athlete with long arms, and has flashed some really good pass-blocking skills.
Detillier said the 6-5, 300-pounder needs to become more of a physical run blocker, improve his footwork and steering skills as a pass protector.
And LSU is not done. Former Colorado offensive tackle Jordan Seaton will reportedly visit LSU on Sunday. He’s ranked as the 4th best overall player in the transfer portal by ESPN. Seaton has also visited Mississippi State and Miami. Oregon is also reportedly interested in the 6-5, 330-pounder.
LSU has also added a starting linebacker, and once again Kiffin nabs the player from his former team. TJ Dottery had 98 tackles in 15 games for Ole Miss. That’s most tackles by an SEC player for the 2025 season.
Dottery has 174 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles in two seasons with the Rebels.
He will be teamed with Whit Weeks, who finished tied for second in tackles in the SEC in 2024.
Detillier calls Dottery an instinctive linebacker who can read and recognize quickly. Detillier also says Dottery is a good blitzer, solid cover guy, but needs to improve getting around bigger blockers.
