The Saints got shut out of the NFL playoffs, but the same can't be said for the All-Pro rosters after the 2021 season.

Fresh off his first Pro Bowl nod, special teams ace J.T. Gray landed on first-team All-Pro with 18 of the 48 total votes case. New England's Matthew Slater was the closest with 11 votes.

The honor underscores what was a remarkably impressive season for Gray, who was also a team captain for the first time and stepped into a key role vacated by Justin Hardee, who signed with the New York Jets in the offseason. Gray had a career-high 19 tackles, and his 16 solo tackles ranked first in the NFL. The Saints have now had at least one player on first-team All-Pro for five consecutive seasons.

Three other Saints players received votes, including Demario Davis. The veteran linebacker landed 2nd-team All-Pro with 10 total votes, coming in behind Cowboys rookie Micah Parsons, Indianapolis' Darius Leonard and Green Bay's Davondre Campbell.

The other two players to land votes were conerback Marshon Lattimore (1) and safety Marcus Williams (2). The biggest snub likely comes at punter, with Blake Gillikin shut out of the voting despite an impressive season taking over for longtime Saints special teams leader Thomas Morstead. Gillikin was particularly effective in pinning opponents within their own 5-yard line, a feat he accomplished three times in a win over the Washington Football Team and helped him win the NFC's Special Teams Player of the Month award for October.
