Saints final Week 2 injury report: 3 listed as questionable; Zach Wood to IR

Saints fans will have to wait and see on the status of two of New Orleans' stars, one on each side of of the ball, for Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Both DE Chase Young (calf) and WR Chris Olave were listed as questionable due to injury situations that cropped up during the weeks. Both players were added to the injury report on Thursday and were limited on Friday.

"We've just got to see how they feel coming out of this practice," Kellen Moore said.

There would be significant ripple effects that impact the Saints' plans should one or both of those players not be able to go. Olave entered Week 2 as the NFL's yardage leader after a 10-catch, 182 yard performance in the opener.

The good news for the Saints is that DE Cam Jordan was upgraded to a full participant at Friday's practice and will make his debut after missing more than a month due to a hamstring injury. Jordan is coming off a 10-sack year and resurgent season in 2025.

Here's how the full injury report broke down on Friday:

LP = limited participation; FP = full participation; DNP = did not participate

- TE Juwan Johnson (illness): DNP | LP | FP
- LB Isaiah Stalbird (shoulder): DNP | DNP | DNP - doubtful
- TE Oscar Delp (hamstring): LP | LP | FP
- DE Cam Jordan (hamstring): LP | LP | FP
- RB Alvin Kamara (knee): FP | FP | FP
- DL Davon Godchaux (NIR-rest): n/a | DNP | FP
- WR Chris Olave (hamstring): n/a | LP | LP - questionable
- LS Zach Wood (calf): n/a | DNP | DNP - out
- DE Chase Young (calf): n/a | DNP | DNP - questionable
- DT Christen Miller (toe): n/a | n/a | LP

Zach Wood (calf) has officially been placed on injured reserve, with CJ Donaldson signed into that roster spot. The Saints have also signed veteran long snapper Scott Daly, who flew in from San Diego on Thursday for a tryout. He'll be expected to be one of the Saints' two gameday elevations from the practice squad for Week 2. Wood is expected to miss at least four weeks with his injury.

Isaiah Stalbird suffered his shoulder injury early against the Lions and finished the game, though he didn't play a snap on the regular defense. He's been a significant contributor for this group on special teams. The Saints are already without LB Jaylan Ford, who is on IR after an injury in the preseason finale.

Rookie DT Christen Miller picked up his toe injury in practice, but Moore declined to provide many additional details. If he can't go the Saints could turn to John Ridgeway or Khristian Boyd, both of whom were inactive in Week 1.

Neither rookie Oscar Delp nor RB Alvin Kamara have gameday designations, indicating they are expected to be available to play. The rookie third round pick got back to practice this week for the first time since appearing in the preseason game vs the Rams, while also missing time early in camp for a hamstring issue. Last week the Saints signed Treyton Welch to the 53-man roster, and they could opt to have Delp be a healthy scratch if they deem him to need more time on task before he is ready for live action. Welch played 10 offensive snaps against the Lions but did not record a catch. He also added six snaps on special teams units.

The Ravens have already ruled three players out and have multiple starters listed as either questionable or doubtful. Here's how their side of the injury report broke down:

- DL Calais Campbell (NIR-rest): DNP | FP | FP
- WR Zay Flowers (hamstring): DNP | DNP | LP - doubtful
- OLB Trey Hendrickson (finger): DNP | DNP | LP - questionable
- OG John Simpson (groin): DNP | DNP | LP - questionable
- OT Ronnie Stanley (toe): DNP | DNP | LP - questionable
- CB TJ Tampa (knee): DNP | DNP | DNP - out
- LB Teddye Buchanan (knee): LP | LP | LP - out
- S Keondre Jackson (shoulder): LP | FP | FP
- DT Nnamdi Madubuike (neck): LP | LP | LP - out
- S Jaylinn Hawkins (chest): FP | FP | FP
- WR Devontez Walker (groin): FP | FP | FP

The absence of Flowers would be significant and limit the Baltimore passing attack. Flowers went of for 150 yards in the first half of the win over the Colts prior to leaving due to injury.

The Saints (0-1) face off with the Ravens (1-0) at noon Sunday inside M&T Bank Stadium.
