Businesses are rethinking political contributions in the wake of the deadly Capitol siege by Pres. Trump’s supporters last week. Citigroup has confirmed it is pausing all federal political donations for the first three months of the year. Others, like Marriott, are only stopping donations to the 147 Republicans who opposed certifying President-elect Joe Biden’s election. .

The U.S. Post Office suffered most in terms of on-time performance and complaints this peak holiday season, with FedEx also having issues but not to the same extent, and UPS doing better, as all were buried by a record-breaking holiday package deluge.  ShipMatrix says for the last week of December, FedEx posted a 96.5% on-time performance record, UPS was at 97.6% and the USPS was at 94.7%. Even so, more than 2 million parcels were not delivered by Christmas.
