Ponchatoula Police have arrested two people in a toddler's death from kratom.
Brooke Harter, the child's mother, and her boyfriend Dominick Cenni face negligent homicide charges in the August death.
Ponchatoula Police began the investigation on August 24.
Police say Cenni turned himself in on Thursday, October 22 and Harter surrendered Friday.
In addition to the homicide charges, Harter and Cenni are booked with cruelty to juveniles and criminal abandonment.
Cenni also faces a count of obstruction of justice.
