
The Amite man accused of murdering his parents and fleeing to Los Angeles is back in Louisiana after authorities extradited him overnight.
Joshua Brocato is now in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail after officials flew him back to Louisiana late Thursday night.
According to Tangipahoa Parish sheriff's deputies, Brocato shot and killed his parents, Marc and Diane Brocato, on or around April 1. Investigators say Brocato then drove his pickup truck to California. Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies discovered Brocato alone inside his truck on April 4. The Los Angeles deputies said they found body armor and several loaded guns inside Brocato's truck when they searched it.
Brocato is facing two counts of first-degree murder as well as three drug counts.
