For the second time in four days a man has been shot on Egania Street in the Lower Ninth Ward.
Today’s killing happened before 5pm near the corner of Egania and North Derbigny.
NOPD officers responding to a report of aggravated battery came upon the body.
Upon arrival, officers found a male victim lying on the ground and suffering apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Four days earlier a man was shot one block away near the corner of Egania and North Roman.
That man was grazed by a bullet and made his own way to a hospital.
