The Audubon Zoo welcomed a pair of two black-and-white ruffed lemurs to its World of Primates exhibit.
The baby primates, named Kallisto and Galileo, were born in April as part of the Species Survival Program. Black and white ruffled lemurs are currently listed as Critically Endangered, which means they are on the brink of extinction.
Kallisto is named for the Jovian moon Callisto, and Galileo is named after astronomer Galileo Galilei, zoo officials said.
This is the second litter from the Audubon Zoo's six-year-old lemur Masiaka and 17-year-old lemur Gascar.
Kallisto and Galileo have one-year-old siblings named Dipper and Andromeda.
