It will be warm, muggy and breezy around the New Orleans region.

A storm system is expected to move through most of the north state.

A few showers are possible as a cool front moves through the area.

Some showers are also in the forecast for Saturday morning.

The rest of Saturday will be dry and warm with highs in the mid-80s.

Sunday could bring another round of thunderstorms.

The stalled front will linger into next week with another shot at rain Monday and Tuesday.

Wednesday another cold front will move in and temps will dip into the low 70s.

SATURDAY:

20% spotty to scattered showers in the morning. Warm and humid. Low: S 70, N 68. High: 85.

SUNDAY:

Warm, humid. 40% scattered showers. Low: S 66, N 64. High: 80.

MONDAY:

40% scattered showers. Warm, humid. Low: S 66, N 64. High: 80.

TUESDAY:

50% AM showers and storms. Breezy, cooler. Low: S 64, N 60.
High: 75.

WEDNESDAY:

Mostly cloudy. 20% spotty showers. Mild. Breezy. Low: S 58, N 53. High: 70.

THURSDAY:

Mostly cloudy.  Warmer, breezy. More humid. Low: S 60, N 55. High: 79.
