Slidell Police arrested a 28-year-old Hammond man and convicted felon early this morning in connection with a drive-by shooting in Slidell. Authorities believe the 1 AM shooting was a response to a dispute at a Slidell bar earlier that night.
The alleged shooter had been kicked out of a bar near Carey St. and Cousin St. earlier that night, and witnesses told police he returned a short time later and sprayed a few rounds into the crowd at the street corner before driving away. No one was struck, and no injuries were reported.
SPD say they apprehended the suspect shortly thereafter at a traffic stop on Old Spanish Trail.
