Gunfire resulted in three people being wounded with in one hour Friday night in New Orleans.
The violence began on Dwyer Road and Flake Avenue in New Orleans East around 8:30pm. Two men sitting in a car were approached by four others. One of the suspects asked for lighter and two others attempted to grab a bag of marijuana from the victims. An armed subject fired multiple shots into the car. One of the victims was shot in the arm and hand. It is not known if the victim went to a hospital for treatment.
Then just after 9pm on Drexel and South Carrolton Avenue, near I-10, multiple shots from a car were fired. A 23-year old woman in another vehicle was hit. The suspect in the shooting fled the scene. The woman was taken by EMS to a hospital.
Minutes later near I-10 and Tulane Avenue, a 21-year old man driving on the expressway heard gunshots and was struck. He made his own way to a hospital.
The condition of all three victims is not known.
NOPD detectives are investigating each crime. It is not known if there are any suspects or motives for the crimes has been released. Anyone with information about any of these acts is asked to contact Crimestoppers.
