Cantrell recall campaign mailing petitions to registered Orleans voters

Cantrell Recall

If you want to sign the recall petition against Mayor LaToya Cantrell, but you haven't done so yet, you'll want to keep an eye on your mailbox.

Next week, the NoLaToya Campaign will mail out recall petitions to registered voters in Orleans Parish. Recall vice chair Eileen Carter says organizers want to target voters who haven't been able to attend a recall signing party because of disabilities or time constraints.

"To make it easier for you to join our effort and to sign our petition, this form will be mailed to your home next week," Carter said in a video posted to the NoLaToya Facebook page on Monday morning.

Recall organizers are using an ad campaign on radio, TV, social media and elsewhere to alert voters.

Carter says no postage is required to mail back a completed recall form. Voters who don't want to wait for the form to come to their mailboxes can download one from the NoLaToya website.

Carter says this is just another sign that the recall effort against Cantrell has not died.

"Attention New Orleans registered voters: The Recall LaToya campaign is alive and well," Carter said.
