New Orleans Police say the victim of a carjacking in Algiers turned the tables on his attacker.
An initial police report explains that a 27-year-old man was walking to his car at 1:20pm on Monday in the 400 block Whitney Avenue.
"Suspect approached victim with weapon and demanded victim’s keys. Victim complied," NOPD said in the Major Offense Log.
However, as the suspect began to make his get away, police say the victim took his car back... at gunpoint.
"Victim retrieved his own gun and suspect exited vehicle and fled."
