A Houma man missing from a Carnival cruise that left New Orleans jumped ship in the Gulf of Mexico, the company says.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, Carnival Cruise lines says security video shows Tyler Barnett jumping overboard around 1:40 a.m. Monday.
The Coast Guard is focusing their search on an area roughly 30 miles southwest of Southwest Pass.
WWL-TV reports the cruise company says it is providing assistance to the family of the 28-year-old who was traveling with him and still on board.
