An early morning shooting in Hahnville has killed a juvenile. Deputies have arrested another.
"Early this morning, just before 2:00 a.m., deputies responded to the 300 block of Smith Street in Hahnville after receiving reports that a male juvenile had been shot," according to Sgt. Jenni Adolph with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office. "Upon arrival, deputies located the juvenile victim, who was transported to a local hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries."
Deputies detained a male juvenile. The sheriff's office says charges will be forthcoming.
