Property owners in New Orleans will have to wait longer to find out what they may owe in property taxes.
The City of New Orleans today announced that the 2022 property tax bills will be delayed for all property owners in Orleans Parish.
According to a city spokesperson, “The delay stems from the Louisiana Tax Commission working cooperatively with the Orleans Parish Assessor’s Office to confirm millages and billing data.”
Taxpayers who would like to pay their property tax bills ahead of receiving the bill may do so by estimating the tax amount.
The city will notify taxpayers with updates as to when the 2022 property tax bills will be available online and mailed.
