New Orleans police say a father and his adult son began arguing Sunday, then bullets started flying.
"The NOPD is investigating a domestic homicide that occurred today," Public Information Officer Paris Holmes said.
It happened in the 7400 block of Crestmont Road in New Orleans East.
"At around 3:26 p.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to an aggravated battery by shooting call at the location."
Holmes says when cops got there they found one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
"He was transported to the hospital by NOEMS."
The 43-years-old later died.
"It was also determined another male victim (23 years old) suffering with a gunshot wound(s) arrived at the hospital by private conveyance."
Detectives later put the pieces together.
"The initial investigation has revealed the two male victims, a father and son, were arguing; at some point, each sustained a gunshot wound."
The investigation continues.
