Power outages were not the only outage people in Louisiana faced after Hurricane Zeta made landfall.

Cox Communications customers also had no service days after the storm.

“We have brought in additional crews to expedite our repair efforts and are making significant progress,” said Cox Communications spokesperson David D’Aquin. “Approximately 85 percent of our customers are now online following Hurricane Zeta and we expect to make continued progress today and tomorrow as power comes back online. We have generators and technicians on standby to assist with any Election Day needs for the polling locations we service.”

D’Aquin says Cox estimated repair times is depend on when the power companies can restore power in that area.

Internet repairs to emergency preparedness facilities, first responders, medical and nursing facilities and schools are a priority.

Here is Cox’s breakdown by our multi-parish service area:

-        Jefferson –  80 percent online

-        Orleans –  91 percent online

-        St Bernard – 58 percent online

-        St. Charles – 95 percent online

D’Aquin says if power and internet service is restored at your location but still do not have internet service, He says rebooting your internet equipment should bring it back online.
