New Orleans Police say one person was killed in crash on I-610 headed towards Metairie and St. Bernard Avenue.
The crash happened around 1:50 p.m. Tuesday.
Police had to close I-610 to westbound traffic while officers investigated.
WWL-TV reports the victim was a worker contracted to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
The highway was reopened shortly before 5 p.m.
