The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Warning for all of Southeast Louisiana starting tonight.
"Frigid temperatures return again," the NWS office for New Orleans posted. "Lows in the 20’s areawide."
Forecasters warn it will feel even colder with winds gusting up to 40mph.
They are urging people to prepare for "Dangerous Wind Chills."
"Precautions include: Check on the elderly, Make sure pets stay warm! Protect sensitive plants and protect exposed pipes."
