The New Orleans Saints notched their first win of the season on Sunday by beating the New York Giants 26-14. For many of the Saints faithful, the win is a sign that good things are on the horizon for the team, but one analyst says: don't get your hopes up too quickly.

"Take that first win against the Giants, and you take it in stride," WWL NFL analyst Mike Detillier said. "Enjoy the victory. You're not going to have a ton of them this year. So enjoy it this week against the Giants. The Patriots are a much, much tougher football team."

Detillier says while their victory may have been sweet, the Saints quickly have to flip the page to next Sunday's game against the Patriots.

"People says the Patriots were bad last year, but they have a new coach in Mike Vrabel whose been there (and) done that," Detillier said. "(He's) a tough, hardnosed guy. They're gonna smack you in the mouth when they play you."

Detillier also praised Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.

"You're not playing a rookie quarterback every week," Detillier said. "Drake Maye is a difference-maker for them.

Detillier says the Saints and their fans have to take the season on a week-to-week basis.

"Every week's a new challenge," Detillier said. "You hope to get better each week."
