A well-known reality star will preside over one of the Big Easy’s 2024 Mardi Gras celebrations.
The Krewe of Pygmalion announced Tuesday that this year’s Grand Marshal is DJ Pauly D.
Pauly D, a.k.a. Paul DelVecchio, first came to national prominence on MTV’s reality television series Jersey Shore, which went on to become one of the channel’s highest-rated shows in its history.
As one of its most popular stars, Pauly D found his career as a DJ elevated by the show’s popularity.
The Krewe of Pygmalion will parade on Saturday, February 3, with its complement of 27 floats and over 1,000 riders on a route that starts at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Magazine Street.
