A 16-year-old girl is one of two people shot dead this afternoon at a drug store in New Orleans.
"The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred...
at the intersection of Elysian Fields Avenue and Gentilly Boulevard that left two people dead," according to a news release.
It happened just after 4:30pm at a Walgreens.
"Officers responded to a call of shots fired at the location."
When they got there, they found a male victim and a female victim in the parking. They both had gunshot wounds.
"The female victim was declared deceased on scene. The male victim was transported via EMS to a local hospital, where he was declared deceased."
There was no additional information available about the age of the male victim.
