Just after 1:00 am Monday morning, a driver traveling on I-10 West ran out of gas and pulled over on the shoulder near City Park Avenue.
The victim tells police that another vehicle carrying three individuals inside stopped apparently to help the driver of the disabled vehicle. Instead, two people jumped out of the car and robbed the victim before fleeing.
Police have not yet released a description of the suspects or the suspect vehicle. Police continue to gather evidence in the investigation.
