NOPD is investigating a shooting that left a man dead and a woman injured.
The gunfire was reported before 3:30 this morning near the intersection of Tchoupitoulas and Dufossat Street behind the Port of New Orleans in the West Riverside neighborhood.
Responding officers found the pair suffering with gunshot wounds.
Both were transported to a hospital.
The male victim later died of his wounds.
Investigation into this incident is active and ongoing.
