If you think it's cold this morning, just you wait!
"Our forecast is calling for near-record low temperatures," says National Weather Service forecaster Tyler Stanfield.
"Sub-freezing temperatures could be expected, especially north of the I-10/12 corridor, up in the upper Florida parishes," Stanfield said.
South of the lake in the New Orleans metro area, it won't be quite that cold, but it will feel more like winter instead of fall.
"For areas down in the New Orleans metro area and south shore, we're expecting temperatures to dip into the upper 30s for some places in the river parishes and low 40s in the New Orleans metro proper," said Stanfield.
