Even mid-week, Halloween should mean good business for NOLA

It's Halloween and that's a big night out for New Orleans.

We've already had the Krewe of Boo parade, but Halloween night, even in the middle of the week, is big for the hospitality industry, says New Orleans & Company Chief Marketing Officer Mark Romig.

Romig told WWL's Newell Normand that people have already been celebrating the holiday for weeks.

"Last Friday, and I would say even the Friday before last Friday, you had people in the mode of Halloween," he said."

"While this is a Thursday night Halloween, you still have a number of people who come in," said Romig. ""We do get a bump. I think you'll have a lot of activity, as you know, down in the restaurant industry you see a lot of Halloween-themed lunches pop up."

Romig says with its haunted house and vampire tours, voodoo lore, and the general spookiness of its cemeteries, New Orleans consistently ranks high on lists of places to enjoy Halloween.
