It is clear that after the resounding re-election of President-elect Donald Trump, that people want a change. Inflation and border security were at the top of the pile of concerns for American voters. And, now that the election is over, what might that change look like?

The Trump administration is already in transition mode as announcements will continue to roll out about key positions within his administration and more Americans get a deeper sense of the policies it will implement.

Congressman Steve Scalise says that the Republican Party heard the voice of the people and are ready to answer the call to action.

"We heard the American blue collar worker, and we will institute policies that will lower prices. You'll see it at the grocery store and the gas pump."

As the transition from the Biden Administration to that of President-elect Donald Trump starts to come into focus, the state of Louisiana will have a special light as Representative Mike Johnson may still hold the gavel in the house, Scalise may continue as Majority Leader.

Johnson and Scalise, as well as the rest of the country, await the final word as votes are still being counted. However, Scalise says, in any case, he is ready to get to work for President Trump and for the American people.

"It's going to be so refreshing to see reforms proposed that make government more about the people get passed in the House and Senate then onto President Trum[p."
