Update: All lanes are open on I-510 South

The NOPD is investigating a fatal vehicle accident on the Paris Avenue crossing near Chalmette this morning.
Shortly after 5 a.m. Seventh District officers responded to the southbound lane of I-510 on the Green Bridge for the report of a motor vehicle accident.
An NOPD report says, “Upon arrival they discovered the driver of an SUV collided with a truck. The driver of the vehicle died at the scene.”
No one else was injured.
The southbound lanes of I-510 heading to Chalmette are closed at Chef Menteur Highway until further notice.
