"Operation Clean house" the initiative that brought together NOPD, State Police, and FBI assistance boasts great progress as the first round ends with 155 arrests and 54 guns taken off the streets. But what happens now and will this operation that was pretty successful continue?
FBI Special Agent and supervisor of the New Orleans Field Office, Lyonel Myrthil says that’s a resounding yes.
“This was just the warning shot. We have found what is a effective and it will serve as the basis for how we operate.”
Operation Clean house took dangerous drugs and illegal bump stock cartridges of the streets.
Agent Myrthil says this work and collaboration between agencies will continue and, as he spoke with Tommy Tucker, he gave this message to would be ne’er-do-wells:
“We are not going away. We know what you're doing. We know where you are. And we will uproot crime in New Orleans no matter how long it takes.”
