
Five people are arrested for allegedly counterfeiting $22,613 says the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
An investigation into the source of the fake money circulating in the area, lead STPSO detectives to 48-year-old Lynn Pommier and Monteia Dumas, and 29-year-old.
Warrants were issued and both suspects were arrested for Criminal Conspiracy and 609 counts of Monetary Instrument Abuse.
Detectives say the investigation also revealed another roommate Dustin Lacina and a former roommate, Kristy Severio, also helped in the manufacturing process of the counterfeit money.
Authorities say further investigation lead to warrants issued for the arrest of Kenyatta Meads for her role in the counterfeiting. She is booked with Criminal Conspiracy and, Principal to 609 Counts of Monetary Instrument Abuse. At the time of her arrest, deputies also charged her with possession of methamphetamine.
“I’m pleased with the efforts of my deputies to expand this case and ultimately arrest these criminals who mistakenly believed they had a place in our community,” Sheriff Randy Smith said.
All parties have been booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
