New Orleans Police officers are looking for the knife-wielding thief who robbed a food delivery driver in Algiers Wednesday evening.
Police say the robbery happened in the 4500 block of MacArthur Boulevard.
"The victim was delivering food at the location when the suspect approached with a knife and demanded the food," according to an initial police report.
There were no injuries reported.
The suspect fled on foot.
An earlier version of this story reported the robbery took place at the 4th District Police Station. That was incorrect. The victim reported the crime in person at the 4th District station on Wall Blvd., but police say a language barrier between the victim and the officer taking the report resulted in them being unable to tell where the robbery happened. The address listed on the initial report was listed as the place where the report was taken, as is NOPD protocol. We apologize for the confusion.
