A shooting in Gert Town has left a man in the hospital and police searching for clues.
The shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. Saturday at a business on Earhart Boulevard near Burdette Street, just a couple of blocks from Carrollton Avenue.
According to the NOPD’s major offense log, the suspect, Jerome LeBlanc, arrived at the business in an “irate and belligerent” state and got into an argument with another person in the parking lot. That argument, police say, led to LeBlanc shooting the other person twice. An EMS crew took the victim to the hospital. His condition was not disclosed.
