Got your shot? If so, here’s your shot at a million!

Governor John Bel Edwards and the state of Louisiana are rolling out a new lottery contest to incentivize people to get their COVID-19 shots.

Shot-at-a-Million.com is the webpage launching today where people who’ve gotten at least one COVID-19 vaccination can go to register for the grand prize of $1,000,000!

WWL ran an informal and unscientific survey and found 90-percent of people asked said they could use a million dollars.

Whether it’s a new home, a new car, paying off debt, settling credit cards, buying a boat, travelling, retiring, or having money to hand down to children, almost everyone we talked to says they have a use for a million dollars.

Not everyone is going to win the million dollars, in fact just one person will walk away with the big boodle.

But there are also four giveaways of $100,000!

And, kids ages 12-to-18 are also eligible to participate in the contest and win one of nine scholarship prizes worth $100,000 as well!

So, if you’ve got your COVID shot—and you only need one to register—go to the lottery contest’s webpage:  www.shotatamillion.com and sign up.

The page also features the drawing schedule and for the $100,000 cash giveaways or scholarships and the main drawing for the million dollars.

The idea here is to raise Louisiana’s rate of vaccination and reward people for getting their shot by giving them a shot-at-a-million!
