Again, another act of gun violence has reared its ugly head in the French Quarter section of Canal Street.
Just after 2am this morning, four men and a woman were engaged in an argument.
One of the four men drew a gun and opened fire on the woman.
He missed and hit an innocent bystander in the leg.
The bystander ended up being transported to a hospital by EMS.
NOPD is investigating the incident and pouring over any surveillance video for clues about the shooting and any photographic clues about the shooter and the suspect involved in the shooting.
