New Orleans Police are investigating the shooting of a man on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter early this morning.
The violence took place between the intersection of Bienville and Conti Streets.
The victim was shot in the leg.
He was taken to University Medical Center for treatment.
The shooting follows a 10pm Saturday evening shooting in New Orleans East where a victim was shot in the head near the intersection of Lake Forest Boulevard and Bullard Avenue.
That victim was transported by EMS to University Medical Center for treatment,
No other information about either crime or a suspects has been released.
It is not assumed the shootings were connected.
