The New Orleans Police Department is looking for this dark-colored SUV in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident Tuesday.
That happened around 5:45 p.m. at Franklin Ave. and Filmore Ave. in Gentilly. Police say the SUV was leaving a business and hit a women on a motor scooter. The scooter driver was knocked from the bike and suffered fatal injuries. She died on the scene.
The SUV headed west on Filmore.
"Through investigation, NOPD Traffic Fatality Unit investigators have determined that the pictured vehicle – a dark-colored SUV with an unknown license plate and possible front-end damage – to be the perpetrator vehicle in this incident," police said in a news release today.
