Jefferson Parish will open its second drive-through COVID-19 vaccination event next week.
The vaccinations will happen Wednesday, February 24, at the Alario Center in Westwego. Appointments are required.
Registration begins Monday, February 22, at 9:00 a.m. and can be done on the parish’s website.
The vaccine is available to only people who meet the current Louisiana Department of Health’s eligibility group, which includes people 65 years or older.
Residents who get their first round of vaccination at this event must return to the same location on March 24 for the second dose.
