New Orleans District Attorney Jason Williams says a man arrested in Kenner could be responsible for decades of sex crimes.

"We have discovered a CODIS DNA hit linking Lucien Jacob to additional sexual assault cases, some of them dating back decades," said Williams.

The crimes date back to the 1990s. Williams says with Jacob behind bars, survivors need not fear coming forward to help make sure prosecutors convict him.

"Thanks to the amazing work of the Kenner Police Department in getting this predator off the street, folks who might have been scared to come foreword can have a collective sigh of relief and hopefully come foreword and provide credible information," Williams said.

Those people are asked to call the New Orleans Police Department's sex crimes unit at (504) 658-5523. They can also call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111 or toll free at (877) 903-7867 (STOP).

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward.
