Jazz Fest’s 2021 iteration isn’t going to take place, after all.
The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival’s organizers made the decision today to cancel the storied jazz and music get together and will instead shoot for holding the event in 2022.
In an open letter, organizers cite “the exponential growth of new COVID cases in New Orleans and the region and the ongoing public health emergency.”
Jazz Fest had been scheduled to take place October 8-17, 2021.
The festival’s organizers will now shoot for April 29-May 8 of next year.
