Sheriff Joseph Lopinto reports that the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred overnight in Metairie.
“At around 9:06 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of S. Cumberland St. in reference to a shooting. Deputies arrived to find a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene,” said a JPSO report.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending the notification of the victim’s family. There is no suspect or motive information available at this time.
