Daniel Callihan, accused of murdering a Tangipahoa parish mother, kidnapping her daughters, and killing one of the girls in Mississippi in 2024, is expected to enter a guilty plea in state court in Louisiana tomorrow, according to our partners at NOLA.com.

The plea deal will allow Callihan to avoid the death penalty in Louisiana.

Callihan pleaded guilty to federal kidnapping charges last month.

He still faces charges in Mississippi, and could still be sentenced to death.

Prosecutors say Callihan killed Callie Brunett at her home in Loranger in June 2024, and kidnapped her two young daughters, Jalie, 6, and Erin, 4.

Erin Brunett's body was discovered in Hinds County, Mississippi. Jalie was found alive and Callihan was arrested nearby.
