(AP) - Federal prosecutors say a 40-year-old Louisiana man has been sentenced to almost 22 years in prison for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Acting U.S. Attorney Darren LaMarca, in a news release, said Montrecus Jaworski Campbell, of Ville Platte, was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola, Jr. to 262 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.

Campbell was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.
