Cops say a man beat and robbed a victim after the victim put a boot on his car in the French Quarter.
"The victim was placing boots on vehicles in the parking lot. The suspect noticed he had a boot on his vehicle and asked the victim to remove it," according to an initial police report.
Investigators say that's when the suspect attacked the man.
"The suspect struck the victim and fled the location with the victim's phone and backpack."
It happened in the 400 Block of North Peters Street near Jax Brewery.
Police were able to identify the suspect and issue a warrant for his arrest.
