New Orleans police say they are investigating a third deadly shooting that happened on Thanksgiving Eve.
This homicide happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday on New Castle Street near Morrison Road in New Orleans East.
According to investigators, officers found the victim, a man, dead at the scene when they arrived. Police have not yet made any arrests or identified any suspects.
This shooting is the fourth Thanksgiving Eve homicide reported to the NOPD. A morning shooting on Norman Francis Parkway near Palmyra Street left a man dead. The other two, which happened within minutes and a mile of each other on Canal Street Wednesday night, left two people dead and a third wounded.
