The Washington Parish Coroner is investigating a Memorial Day weekend drowning.
It happened Sunday at a spring-fed lake near Enon, at a facility called White Sands Lake Day Beach.
"Our hearts are broken by the events of Sunday," White Sands Lake Day Beach posted on its Facebook page Wednesday. "Please know that we are in prayer for the family and anyone else present on Sunday."
The business also criticized "nonsense" it said was being spread on the Internet about the incident. A patron posted on Facebook that the staff seemed unconcerned about the man's death, and criticized the business for remaining open after authorities took the body.
